Uber Mini Schnauzers

When our family set out to add a dog to our household I found the process quite daunting. My children were young and fearful of dogs which ruled out the many rescue dogs we ‘interviewed’. My husband was allergic to dogs. I spent many hours researching dog breeds and settled on miniature schnauzers as the dogs for us. They are compact in size, don’t shed hair/fur, are loyal and great guard dogs.

Later we decided to add another dog to the mix. I wanted to know our new puppy was from good breeding stock and was genetically sound - important for maintenance of the breed standard and good health. I also wanted to know that the puppy's early days/weeks, which have such an impact on their personality and behaviour, were spent in a loving family environment - just like the one they would be joining.

I was lucky enough to find an excellent breeder in the end but it took time, many phone calls and a lot of waiting for litters to become available.

I felt becoming a breeder myself would enable me to help people who may find themselves in the same situation.  I spent two years researching how to be an ethical and mindful breeder and was assisted by an excellent mentor before beginning my own breeding work in 2017.  Our dogs are fully tested to ensure good health and we aim to improve the breed with our pups.
